What is the Sr. High Youth Group?


The Sr. High Youth Group, a segment of the youth program at Foothills Fellowship, is a ministry dedicated to the mandate given to the young man Timothy by the Apostle Paul. "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe... giving attention to the reading of scripture, to exhortation and teaching". (I Timothy 4:12,13) To achieve this goal we strive, as a group, to:

  1. Provide or strengthen a lasting foundation of faith and doctrine in each student who comes through the ministry.
  2. Encourage, through regular Bible study, a comprehensive knowledge of Scripture.
  3. Challenge each one to cultivate a personal relationship with Christ through individual discipleship and personal spiritual growth.
  4. Facilitate fellowship, unity within the Body and outreach, through various events and activities.
  5. Stimulate each student to live beyond the expectations and stereotypes usually associated with "teenagers".


Our ultimate desire for the youth who are a part of our ministry is to see each one individually grow spiritually to the point where they are drawn outside of themselves and the comfort of the Body, to become the ministers themselves and impact lives in their culture, and others, for the Glory of an unchanging God.

The Sr. High Youth Group at Foothills Fellowship is a great place for high school age young people to join with their peers--whether they are seeking discipleship, ministry opportunities, growth, fellowship, or simply seeking, there is something for everyone.

How do I get more Information??

You may contact us with any questions you have or to indicate interest in any of the programs of the Sr. High Youth Group by filling out one of the blue slips, which appear in the bulletin each Sunday morning. You may also contact us for more information about events or activities by calling Art Harrison at 303-972-9685. Please feel free also to pull aside any of the youth or staff with questions you might have.

Opportunities for Involvement

  • Join one of our interactive Bible studies for either guys or girls.
  • Get involved in the Sunday School program after 1st service or Youth Group on Wednesday evenings at 6:30.
  • Come pray with us every Wednesday night at 6:00.
  • Find out about our many extracurricular activities, retreats and mission opportunities.
  • Pray for the youth of our Church.
  • Consider offering to host or help with an event or activity.


Topics of Study

  • Firm Foundations chronological study on Sunday mornings.
  • Topical or book studies on Wednesday nights.
  • Topical Bible study for girls every Tuesday night at the Blanks' home at 7:00.
  • One Year Bible study and discussion for guys on Sunday nights at 7:30.
  • Verse memory and fellowship for girls every other Sunday night at 7:30 at Wendy Anderson's.
